This is the heart of what JPW Property Care has grown into: a family run building firm covering everything that keeps a property sound, smart and dry. Brickwork and repointing, garden walls and structures, renovations, repairs, and the small jobs that are hard to find a good builder for.

Renovation work is where the trades come together: walls stripped and boarded, ceilings opened up and re-skimmed, extensions taken from bare insulation board to a clean rendered finish with sharp edges and tidy detailing.

No job is too small. A flaking concrete sill repaired, primed and refinished matters as much to us as a full house transformation, and there is no minimum call out charge either way.

What Usually Goes Wrong

Weathered joints let water into the wall and frost pops the faces off bricks.

The fix We pick jobs up, strip them back to sound material and finish them properly.

Building Work: Common Questions

What size of building work do you take on?

From repointing and wall repairs up to extensions and full external refurbishments. If it is bigger than us we will say so.

Do you handle building regulations?

We work to the drawings and the regulations for the job in hand and will tell you up front where approval is needed.

Can you do the inside as well as the outside?

Yes, including plastering, flooring and making good after the main work.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. The site visit and the written quote are both free, and there is no obligation either way. If we think the job does not need doing, or needs doing differently, we will tell you that instead of quoting for it.

Do you want a deposit up front?

No deposit. You pay when the work is finished and you are happy with it. There is also a 14 day cooling off period as standard.

Which areas do you cover?

Morecambe, Heysham, Lancaster, Carnforth, Bolton-le-Sands, Barrow-in-Furness and across to Kendal and the south Lakes. If you are just outside, ask anyway.
